I dreamt I was reading a poem composed of golden latches. Each line had an identical form -- beginning with 'a (four letter verb)', then continuing to a statement about a Capitalised Noun -- and when I read the mid-point of each line the latch would unlock. As I read a seam opened up through the middle of the poem. When I got to the last line the words had all disappeared, and only the latch remained.

I was quite confident that it was some sort of funeral oration, and I knew the author's name -- in the dream, I was going to write her a letter asking for the last line of the poem.
Another dream involved a very complicated supermarket shopping trip, where I ended up checking out at multiple counters and intercepting my mother before she paid for my food. On the way home with my groceries I was walking along a river, and noticed that the log rafts being floated down the river had become giant towers of stacked wood, several stories high. I was just in the process of counting all the logs in one particularly large structure when it began to collapse. The entire thing fell into the water, and the river suddenly overflowed its banks -- I had to swim to keep above water. When the river receded, all my groceries were scattered all over the place, pissing me off to no end.

It's rare that I have such very symbolical dreams. Freud would be so proud.
